What the program includes....

A simple overview of the autonomic nervous system and how it functions.

  • The autonomic nervous system is split into two branches:
    • Sympathetic: Flight or freeze
    • Parasympathetic: Rest and digest
    • Resonance is when these systems are in optimal balance for the environment we are in.
  • Navigating the nervous system with greater agency is a simple but effective tool for making measurable improvements in physical and mental health
  • Through a simple audio program with clear instructions, clinicians and patients will be guided along the roadmap to resonance. No prior background required.

Participants will learn how breathing influences the brain and body. By teaching state-of-the-art breathing biomechanics and science-informed breathing exercises, you will gain simple protocols that can be applied personally and professionally to benefit yourself and those you work with.

The course will cover various application settings including trauma, crisis, 1-1 therapy, group counseling, and long term patient care.

This program is designed by Breathe to Perform, a professional development company specializing in respiration physiology in collaboration with Dr. Jose Herrero, an Assistant Professor in neuroscience at the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research, and Mandy Owensby, Master Addiction Counselor (MAC) and Clinical Social Worker. A Roadmap to Resonance includes CEU's for participating practitioners. Contact us for more details.
